James Allan Tucker is an American artist with a diverse commercial background in visual presentation. Graduating Phi Theta Kappa in 2002 from his class in digital design, he immediately opened a custom graphics and fabrication studio near Seattle WA. Creating work for a vast array of clientele with specific needs and concepts, forced him to become familiar with almost every material type imaginable. Machining titanium, welding stainless steel, fiberglass resins, vector and 3D applications, plastics, wood.. all quickly became a part of his creative arsenal. In 2010, he began working on traditional and personal artwork, using all the experience learned with various materials in the previous 7 yrs, adding glass blowing, ceramics and sculpture to the expanding list of media. After spending some time in the tri-state NY/NJ/PA area and starting the first Prime Studio, James returned to Tacoma in 2014 specifically to help with the artistic value of the annual Art on the Avenue Festival.
Starting in Lebanon, NJ and now branched into Tacoma, WA, Prime Studios is designed to be an artistic sanctuary and a living, breathing workshop for ANY artist who wishes to expand their knowledge of ANY medium. The studio currently works with, and displays work from, many local artists and occasionally some from across the nation.
